Technical University of Kenya is situated in Nairobi. TUK was established in 1961 as Kenya Technical School and Kenya Polytechnic. In 2007 it became a constituent of Nairobi University under the name Kenya Polytechnic University College. Technical University college received its university status in 2013. The main campus is in Nairobi.
